Burqini: Muslim women's reply to bikini It's not itsy-bitsy or teenie- weenie but the Burqini may prove to be just as popular as its polka-dotted predecessor.
The modest bathing costume is designed for water-going Muslim women who, because of religious values, cannot show more than their face, hands and feet in public.
A cross between a burqa and a bikini, the polyester suit is made up of pants and a long- sleeved thigh or knee-length A-line top with head covering. It is water-repellent, UV-resistant and comes with Arab designs.
Its Australian designer, Aheda Zanetti, has been swamped with thousands of inquiries about the product from Europe, Britain, the United States, Asia and the Middle East. Zanetti said she started producing the Burqini as Muslim women were missing out on sports because of their dress code.

I think its a gr8 idea-especially the all in one scarf.but i agree perhaps it shud b a bit looser on top,and a longer.howeva,if one considers how most muslim women in sa wear hijab, then this is perfectly modest.i dnt like the muslim swimsuits available in sa,but id consider this.altho its goin2 cling when wet anyways,so maybe not.
LOL i was just going to say that hoever my point is is that although better then the stuff on offer in SA its still kinda misses the point don't u think?
I tink it does provide a good alternative and is decently modest.when one looks at the pic,one isnt inclined to check out their figures.but then again, maybe guys will. The dressin issue is somethin iv been meanin to blog bout 4 a while-mayb i'l post sumthin 2nite,inshallah
well blog away it will be intersting to see what you come up with
The 'burqini' is quite interesting and is definitely better looking than the SA ones.
Besides, ANYTHING that you wear in water will cling to your body.
So I don't actually think there is a proper solution to it.
